Lady Olufunmilayo A. Agbato

Chief Executive Officer

Dame Olufunmilayo Agbato is the co-founder of Animal Care Services Konsult, and a veteran poultry farmer, who possesses over 40 years of industry experience cutting across leadership, organization development, product design, operations strategy, people management, business risk governance, performance review, financial decision, and corporate communication.

As a poultry farmer and livestock consultant, Mrs. Agbato served for several years as a member of the executive of the Poultry Association of Nigeria in Lagos; and won several medals and merit awards within the industry, including that of an honorary Guest Lecturer at the Department of Animal Science University of Ibadan. She is a Patroness to several students’ associations in the Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in many institutions of higher learning in Nigeria.

She sits on the advisory boards of several organizations, NGOs, fora and a seasoned discussant on topical issues ranging from agribusiness, family, career, agricultural finance, communication as well as several religious matters. A coach and mentor with several impacts across the nation.

A devout Christian, Lady Olufunmilayo Agbato is involved in various evangelistic activities of her church, with special interest in marriage counseling and reconciliation. She was senior church steward for several years at Methodist Church Nigeria, Agege, Lagos, and she is currently the Lay President** of the Agege Diocese of Methodist Church Nigeria.

Mrs. Tolulola Olumide

Executive Director

Mrs. Tolulola Olumide holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia State University, as well as Juris Doctor/Law Degree from Regent University School of Law, Virginia. In addition to practicing Administrative Law for a few years in her capacity as a Legal Auditor for the U.S. Department of Labour, she has garnered wealth of experience working in different industries over the years.

She is currently the Executive Director for the Funtuna Lifestyle Brand at Funtuna Ventures, a subsidiary of Animal Care Services Nigeria Limited where she leads the corporate strategy of the brand, while ensuring compliance with global best practices, and prioritizing premium customer service.

She is happily married with kids.

Olufemi Agbato

Executive Director

Mr Olufemi Agbato is a versatile business leader and engineering professional with over with over 15 years’ experience that spans various industries that include Outdoor and Consumer products, Food and Beverage, Agro-businesses, Aerospace, Automobile and Energy Services. His expertise covers business development, product design, manufacturing operations, and production initiatives that have seen him add immense value to firms and businesses in Nigeria and the United States. Mr Agbato is well armed with an Executive MBA from Kennesaw State University. He also has a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University and another degree in Animal Science and Agricultural Economics from the University of Tennessee. As a skilled new business venture and start-up operator, he has served as Co-founder and serving CEO of DAM Coolers LLC, one of very few African American owned and operated outdoor and lifestyle companies. His managerial acumen has also seen him deploy his effective leadership skills at the General Electric Atlanta Service Center where he managed numerous steam and gas turbines projects. His diverse engineering and service development footprints have been etched with firms that include Consolidated Container Co, a consumer products company, automotive OEM business, Plastic Omnium; aerospace design and manufacturing company, Gulf Stream Aerospace; Wayne Foods/Fieldale Foods, a food processing company and Industrial products giant, Altair Advanced Technologies. Mr Agbato has also worked as Head of Corporate Resources and Procurement at one of Nigeria’s leading Agro conglomerates, Animal Care Services Konsult.

Dr. Opeyemi Agbato

Executive Director

Dr. Opeyemi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree, from Georgia state university and Mercer college of pharmacy and health sciences respectively.

He is a clinically trained pharmacist with a specialty in Antimicrobial Stewardship, Nutrition, and Metabolic Support. His pharmaceutical care experience spans community practice, hospital practice, and now veterinary practice.

He holds a master’s degree in business administration from the prestigious Lagos Business School and currently, he is the Executive Director for Animal Husbandry & Technical Services at Animal Care Services Konsult (Nig.) Ltd, a leading integrated livestock health and production company.

Dr. Agbato is an active member of the Poultry Association of Nigeria, is currently serving as the PRO of PANOG (Poultry Association of Nigeria, Ogun State), and has recently been inducted into the International Egg Commission’s Young Egg Leader (YEL) program 2020.

His roles cut across business leadership, growth and expansionary strategy, government relations, venture capital prospecting, investment appraisal, driving and harnessing technological initiatives for corporate inclusiveness, financial management, risk, and corporate sustainability, people management, operations strategy, growth forecasts, and corporate strategy, amongst others.

He has featured in several retreats, and conferences across the globe.

Mrs Adenike Adeyemi

Independent Non-Executive Director

Adenike Adeyemi is an expert in social entrepreneurship, institutional transformation, sustainability, strategic planning and corporate governance. Her 20-year experience includes working in the private, public and development sectors to develop, fund and implement innovative programs and high impact policies for entrepreneurship in Nigeria. She is the Chief Executive Officer for FATE Foundation, Nigeria’s foremost business incubator which has connected over 193,000 aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs with a range of resources including capacity building, advisory services, mentoring and financing to start, grow and scale their businesses with expansion into sectors including the agribusiness value chain. Under her leadership, the Foundation set up the FATE Institute as the thought leader on Nigeria’s MSMEs and has produced 13 research reports on the entrepreneurship ecosystem. She also led the expansion of the FATE School of Entrepreneurship’s incubation and accelerator programs to 27 states and published 9 books for Nigerian entrepreneurs. She also oversees the FATE Giving which raised, disbursed and closed a ≈$1,000,000 Fund for the FATE Philanthropy Coalition for COVID-19 Support Fund in 2020.Prior to joining FATE Foundation, she worked at KPMG Nigeria; the Nigeria Leadership Initiative; the New Jersey Educational Opportunity Program and the West African NGO Network. She has a Masters of Public Administration and a Masters of Arts in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University (2005) and a BA in Linguistics from the University of Ibadan (2001). She is a 2020 Eisenhower Global Women Leaders Fellow.  Adenike’s Board experience includes Trustee of the Youth Business International; Council Member, Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industries; Non-Executive Director, VDT Bitflux Communications; Director, Oxbridge Tutorial College Foundation; and Advisory Board Member, BudgIT. She is also the Lead Facilitator for the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) MSME Community of Practice and the Chairman, Technical Sub Committee, 2022 NESG Nigerian Economic Summit.

Dr. Mudashiru Olaitan

Independent Non-Executive Director

Dr. Olaitan who is the erstwhile Director, Development Finance Department of the Central Bank of Nigeria from 2014 to 2020, is a consummate development expert with over three decades of experiences in corporate growth, agricultural finance, livelihood development, capacity development and microfinance. His career with the Central Bank of Nigeria had offered him the opportunity to lead integrated development finance support for the growth of enterprises. He conceived, designed and implemented many intervention programmes for business development. A number of land mark programmes, policies and initiatives were introduced during his tenure, targeted at improving access to affordable credit to agribusiness, farmers and other investors to increase production, create jobs, improve livelihoods to build a robust, resilient and inclusive economy. These include the Real Sector Support Facility (RSSF), Nigeria Export Stimulation Facility (NESF), Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry Stabilisation Strategy (NESI), Secured Transactions and National Collateral Registry (NCR), which involves the use of movable collateral and the Anchor Borrowers Programme (ABP) for farmers, among others. He is widely published, he has attended various programmes both local and international on policy, agricultural finance, leadership, strategic decision making, strategic marketing and economic development. He was the Chief Editor of the Nigeria Microfinance Newsletter, a former member of the Editorial Board of the Bullion (CBN Publication) and Nigerian Agriculture Magazine. During his stint with the CBN, he organised and facilitated at various training programmes for stakeholders such as bankers, farmers and investors. He had served as a board member of the following organisations: Bank of Industry (BOI), Nigerian Import and Export Bank (NEXIM), Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry Stabilisation Strategy Ltd (NESI), Nigerian Incentive -Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL), Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme Fund (ACGSF),Bank of Agriculture (BOA), Agri-Business, Small & Medium Enterprises Equity Investment Scheme (AGSMEIS), National Agency for Science & Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Solid Minerals Development Agency (SMDA), among others. He is a member of the following professional bodies – Institute of Directors (IoD), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN) and Honorary member Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria(HCIBN). He holds degrees at the BSc. level from Usmanu Dan Fodiyo University Sokoto, MSc. and PhD from University of Ibadan and MBA from University of Ilorin.

Dr. Olatunde Aiyedun Agbato

Founder

Late Sir, Dr. Olatunde Aiyedun Agbato, was born at Ogere Remo on 4th August 1950. He attended Wesley School, Ogere Remo, Ijebu Ode Grammar School, and the University of Ibadan, where he studied Veterinary Medicine and obtained the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 1975 with distinctions in Pathology and Parasitology.

Dr. Agbato’s academic brilliance earned him immediate employment after graduation with the Department of Veterinary Medicine, the University of Ibadan after his compulsory National Youth Service in 1976, where he served for about 16 months as a lecturer before enrolling for the Master of Business Administration program at the University of Lagos; thus graduating 15 months later in December 1978 with an MBA degree; becoming the first Veterinarian in the country to do so.

Dr. Olatunde Agbato joined SEEPC Nigeria Limited the manufacturers of SANDERS feeds as the Technical Commercial Manager in charge of feeds and also doubled as the in-house Veterinarian of the organization. During his tenure with the organization, his exceptional organizational ability manifested in his several innovative initiatives that broke new grounds in the business and established SEEPC Limited as a leader in the livestock feed industry.

Dr. Olatunde Agbato’s astuteness in business and his outstanding success in the livestock feed industry was so overbearing that he decided to set new goals and targets for himself by starting up his own venture, which started as OA &OA Associates in December 1979 in partnership with his amiable wife, Mrs. Olufunmilayo Agbato, a poultry technologist, which later metamorphosed to Animal Care Services Konsult Nigeria Ltd at incorporation in 1981.

Dr. Olatunde Agbato was one of the major pillars of private Veterinary practice in Nigeria, where his organization, ANIMAL CARE SERVICES KONSULT (NIG) LTD can be said to be the largest private employer of Veterinarians in the country with more than 20 qualified veterinarians in its employment. Dr. Agbato had moved Animal Care is into big-time commercial feed milling with factories in Ogere, Ogun State, Kano, Kano State, and Asaba, Delta State, and in addition, operates one of the biggest and best-run poultry farms in Nigeria. The company currently has a workforce of over 1000 employees on its farm, factories, and branches all over the country.

Dr. Agbato’s vision, dynamism, and industry earned him and his organization recognized nationally and internationally. This culminated into many honors and awards for exemplary contributions to the livestock industry, veterinary profession and these include:

  •  Fellow of the College of Veterinary Surgeons of Nigeria.
  • First Distinguished Alumnus Award of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ibadan.
  • Distinguished Veterinarian Award of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association.
  • Fellow, Farm Management Association of Nigeria.
  •  Member, International Egg Commission where he is the only African and black member of the membership committee and also an Ambassador of the commission.
  • Omoluabi Award by the Ikenne Local Government, Ogun State.
  •  International Ambassador for Peace by the Youth Federation for World Peace, an affiliate of Universal Peace Federation, an NGO with Consultative Status at the United Nations.
  • He served as a two-term elected member of the Veterinary Council of Nigeria.

Dr. Olatunde Agbato who was for some time a member of the U.S. Poultry and Egg Association in Atlanta, Georgia, is a member of the Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) and was two terms past Chairman of the Ogun State Chapter of the association. Through his inspirational leadership, the chapter started an international exhibition tagged ABEOKUTA POULTRY SHOW which today is now known as the Nigerian Poultry Show.

Dr. Agbato’s display of a high level of ingenuity, and commitment to sound reasoning coupled with long-term planning has stood him shoulder high amongst competitors and competition. He has demonstrated how intense scholarship (or, an intellectual disposition) can be brought to bear on day-to-day business. In other words, Animal Care (the business concern which he pioneered) has grown on the wings of breaking new grounds and initiating new ideas that can help advance the Nigerian livestock industry.

Dr. Agbato’s commitment to scholarship is not just a personal affair. He can be rightly described as a mentor of scholars. He has supported the veterinary and agric faculties of several universities in many ways, and his door was always opened to researchers and scholars from within and outside the nation. In addition, He had been a fair haven for subject matter specialists and professionals, who are encouraged to cut their teeth and carve a niche for themselves while in the employment of the company. Today, he was surrounded by specialists in diagnostics, nutrition, marketing, management, finance, and so on. Dr. Agbato was not just an intellectual; he was a great mentor, a Legend, and a manager of intellectuals. Perhaps, this pooling and nurturing of intellectual capital is the greatest secret of his business success.

Dr. Olatunde Agbato was a devout Christian. He was an active Methodist both in his local churches in Agege, Lagos and Ogere his home town where he contributes generously to their physical and spiritual growth. In 2006, he was conferred with the award of Knight of John Wesley by the Conference of Methodist Church Nigeria.

The sterling contributions of Dr. Olatunde Agbato to scholarship, nation-building, and promotion of the wellbeing of society are truly immense. Also, his remarkable achievements in the private sector, outstanding contributions to the growth of the veterinary profession and the livestock industry in Nigeria; consistent high moral standard and integrity; and selfless service to humanity have endeared him to many people at home and abroad, while setting him up as a creditable role model for the upcoming generation.

Until his death on Thursday the 7th of January 2021, Dr. Olatude Agbato remained the President and Chief Executive of Animal Care Services Konsult, a Class Leader of Knight of John Wesley, Methodist Church Nigeria. Dr. Olatunde Agbato was aged 70, he was survived by his wife, Dame Olufunmilayo Agbato Children, Grandchildren, Siblings, and many friends.

Mrs Ohaji Taiwo

Chief Finance Officer

Taiwo is an accounting’s veteran with over 20 years progressive experience that cut across multiple accounting fields such as management, accounting, forensic auditing,& investigation, IFRS, corporate finance, business appraisal, risk and corporate sustainability, operations evaluation, budgeting, cost and management accounting, internal control compliance and audit, amongst others. A chartered accountant of the prestigious institute of the chartered accountant of Nigeria (ICAN)

She has led retinue of personnel, and has worked in several functional departments and roles In the organization.

Taiwo began her accounting training at Nigeria Telecommunication Limited as an industrial trainee in 1997. Having successfully completed National Youth Service Corps in year 2000, she immediately joined Animal Care Services Konsult Nigeria Limited. In two decades of dedicated service, she has worked as the Branch Accountant, Budget Officer, Management Accountant and currently the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

In additional, her skills span through evaluating and forecasting budgetary needs, preparing financial reports, developing strategic long term business plans, cash flow projections, working capital management, financial modelling and financial advisory supports and identifying new sources of funds.

She has attended trainings on Leadership and Management Skills, Risk Management in Agro-Allied Industry and Leadership for Strategic Turnaround in Business.

She supervises over 20 Accountants In the organization across the country and several divisions.

Dr. Peter Akintola

Chief Operating Officer NUTRITION

Dr Akintola, a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in Nigeria, where he obtained the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM) in 1997. He also holds a Master in Public Health degree (MPH) with focus on epidemiology.

He is a member of Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association and the Institute of Certified Sales Professionals of Nigeria.

An astute Techno-Commercial professional with close to 20 years of experience in the poultry industry, results-focused and effective leader with proven ability to excel. He joined Animal Care Services Konsult (Nig.) Ltd in year 2000 as a Field Technical Commercial Executive and later rose to become the Area Sales Manager. He was later deployed to the head office of the company where he has worked in various capacities such as Commercial Manager, Branch Operations Manager, Business Manager at various times in charge of Feeds and Concentrates, Health Products and Premix & Additives businesses, DGM (Health and Nutrition), COO (Feeds and Concentrate business) and currently the COO (Premix and Additives business).

He oversees the production, marketing, and sales of vitamins & minerals premixes, additives and micronutrient concentrates for poultry, ruminant, and swine. He is involved in the development of new products, feed mixes, and alternatives.

Some of his Principal Accountabilities

  • Developing a commercial strategy for the Division, as well as developing and entrenching the profile of Animal care Premix and Additives Division in the business commercial and brand world.
  • Implementing a robust new business process across the Division
  • Control the inventory and supply information about the required raw materials quantities according to production and formulation in order to ensure proper planning and prevent wastage of raw materials.
  • Maintaining expertise in Nutritional trends and keeping update with regulatory changes.
  • Supporting economical trends in producing and launching new nutritional products.
  • Applying all measures and means to monitor products and follow up all laboratory tests to ensure production of high-quality products and receiving raw materials.
  • Involved with other production crew in the monitoring, studying, and analyzing formulations to meet quality performance and animal health standards.

 

Dr Akintola has a proven track record of designing and developing products for Nigeria’s animal nutrition and health market; developing procedures, service standards and operational policies (SOPs); planning and implementing effective control measures in technical, marketing  and sales of feed additives, animal health products and feeds.

Dr Akintola is also involved in the management of beef, dairy and swine business development and institution business teams in Animal Care.  He is involved in introducing new products by Animal Care into the Nigerian market. He has undergone professional trainings in Nigeria and abroad; USA, Germany, India, Senegal, South Africa, etc.

Dr. Babatunde Ifemade

Chief Operating Officer ANIHEALTH

Babatunde Ifemade is a veterinarian of over 20 years’ experience in managing poultry health, biosecurity concerns, disease prevention, large and small animals’ welfare and health management and sales and marketing. Since he joined Animal Care in year 2000.

Tunde has worked at different positions in the organization and currently the AGM, Health Division, ACSK.

A member of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA). He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration and has attended several trainings, conferences, workshop, and seminars at national and international levels under the sponsorship of Animal Care.

Tunde’s two decades experiences in diverse fields and multiple portfolios demonstrate his verse skills cutting across leadership, innovations and development of several products; cascading and developing several marketing territories, overseeing and facilitating international partnerships and overseas products, pioneering and establishing several departments, managing business crises and biosecurity challenges, integrating and upscaling the marketing and sales department, featuring in several training modules designing curricular development for the institutes, leading several projects and scaling up numerous plants and operations, coaching and mentorship several branch heads, amongst others.

He is a seasoned livestock strategist.
