Animal Care Services Konsult (Nig.), one of Nigeria’s foremost livestock production and input supply companies, owners of the iconic brand – ‘funtuna’ today announced the appointment of Mrs Adenike Adeyemi and Dr. Mudashiru Olaitan to the board of directors of the company, effective 1st January 2022

Mrs Adenike Adeyemi is an expert in social entrepreneurship, institutional transformation, sustainability, strategic planning and corporate governance. Her 20-year experience includes working in the private, public and development sectors to develop, fund and implement innovative programs and high impact policies for entrepreneurship in Nigeria.

She is the Chief Executive Officer for FATE Foundation, Nigeria’s foremost business incubator which has connected over 193,000 aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs with a range of resources including capacity building, advisory services, mentoring and financing to start, grow and scale their businesses with expansion into sectors including the agribusiness value chain.

Dr. Mudashiru Olaitan who is the erstwhile Director, Development Finance Department of the Central Bank of Nigeria from 2014 to 2020, is a consummate development expert with over three decades of experiences in corporate growth, agricultural finance, livelihood development, capacity development and microfinance. His career with the Central Bank of Nigeria had offered him the opportunity to lead integrated development finance support for the growth of enterprises. He conceived, designed and implemented many intervention programs for business development. A number of land mark programs, policies and initiatives were introduced during his tenure, targeted at improving access to affordable credit to agribusiness, farmers and other investors to increase production, create jobs, improve livelihoods to build a robust, resilient and inclusive economy.

Dr. Mudashiru Olaitan

These include the Real Sector Support Facility (RSSF), Nigeria Export Stimulation Facility (NESF), Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry Stabilization Strategy (NESI), Secured Transactions and National Collateral Registry (NCR), which involves the use of movable collateral and the Anchor Borrowers Program (ABP) for farmers, among others. He is widely published, he has attended various programs both local and international on policy, agricultural finance, leadership, strategic decision making, strategic marketing and economic development. He was the Chief Editor of the Nigeria Microfinance Newsletter, a former member of the Editorial Board of the Bullion (CBN Publication) and Nigerian Agriculture Magazine.
